GDPR INFORMATION NOTICE

Dear User,

As part of the registration process for the LOFT Platform (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform") as a Local Food Producer (LFP), certain information you provide via the registration form qualifies as personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We would like to inform you about our data processing activities.

Who Are We?

We are the LOFT Project Partnership, acting as the data controller under GDPR. This means we determine the purposes and means of processing personal data required for the operation of the Platform. The LOFT Project Partnership comprises Kocaeli Governorship (Office of European Union and Foreign Affairs), CDE Petra Patrimonia Agricultural Cooperative (France), University of Bologna Faculty of Agriculture (Italy), University of Zaragoza IA2 Research Institute (Spain), and Gebze Technical University.

What Data Do We Process?

Through the registration form, we collect information such as your name, country, email address, phone number, and business address. Additionally, only essential cookies necessary for Platform operation are processed (please refer to our Cookie Policy for more details).

Why Do We Process Your Data?

The information you provide via the form is collected, stored, and optionally displayed on your profile page to enable interaction with other Platform visitors, at your discretion.

Will Your Data Be Transferred to Third Parties?

Your profile information is displayed solely based on your choice. You will have the option to control whether these data elements are visible. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent.

How Do We Collect Your Personal Data?

We collect your personal data through the registration form you complete to join the Platform. This involves an online form completed on a computer or smart device, with processing conducted entirely through automated methods.

What Is Our Legal Basis for Collecting Your Data?

We collect and process your data based on your explicit consent, as required under GDPR Article 6(1)(a).

What Are Your Rights Concerning Your Data?

Under GDPR, you have several rights regarding your personal data processing. You may:

  1. Confirm whether we are processing your personal data,

  2. Request information regarding the processing,

  3. Understand the purpose of processing and whether it aligns with stated intentions,

  4. Know any third parties (within or outside your country) to whom your data are transferred,

  5. Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data and ensure these corrections are communicated to any third parties to whom your data were disclosed,

  6. Request deletion or erasure of your data if processing reasons are no longer valid and request that third parties be informed of this action,

  7. Object to any decision based exclusively on automated processing, which may affect you negatively,

  8. Seek compensation for damages resulting from unlawful data processing.

How to Exercise Your Rights

You may submit your requests through written or electronic applications. Your requests will be addressed as promptly as possible, with a maximum response time of 30 days. If your request requires additional administrative costs, the fees stipulated in the “Regulation on Application Procedures and Principles for Data Controllers” may apply. If the request results from our error, such fees will be refunded.

Please ensure to include your name, identification number (or passport/identification number for foreign nationals), a reachable address, and a clear description of your request in your communication.
