From May 12 to 16, 2024, the European Horticultural Congress in Bucharest, Romania, brought together over 800 participants in Bucharest to discuss the latest innovations in horticulture. Among the event's standout sessions was the symposium Urban Horticulture: From Vertical Farming to Planting Design, where researchers from the University of Bologna showcased the impactful work of the LOFT Project.

During the symposium, which attracted an audience of 60–70 participants, the University of Bologna researchers presented an article on the LOFT Project’s findings on the digitalization level of local food producers, offering valuable insights into how digital tools and technologies could transform small-scale food production systems.
